2,000 People Stuck On Goa Cruise Ship After Crew Member Tests COVID-19 Positive

Mumbai: Over 2,000 people are stuck on the Mumbai-Goa Cordelia cruise ship after a crew member tested positive for COVID-19.

According to reports, the crew member was found positive in a rapid antigen test and has been kept under isolation.

Health officials are testing all 2,000 passengers aboard the cruise ship. Live Hindustan further informed that these passengers are eagerly waiting for their exam results.

Meanwhile, the infected crew member has been kept in isolation, Live Hindustan reports. The person was found positive in the rapid antigen test.

Officials have asked all passengers to stay on the cruise ship if their test results are out. The operators of this cruise ship have been asked to conduct Kovid-19 test of all passengers through Salgaonkar Medical Research Center (SMRC) Hospital in Vasco.

The Goa government, meanwhile, is aiming to inoculate all 72,000 children in the 15-18 age group against Covid-19 with the first dose in the next four days after vaccination opens for them on Monday, state health minister Vishwajit Rane said on Sunday.
