If You Do ‘Bawaal’ Like ‘Animal’, You May Spend NY With Us: Delhi Police

Mumbai: Delhi Police grabbed the social media limelight on Sunday once more, telling a Bollywood-inspired cautionary story for New Year’s Eve. The police department cleverly encouraged people to celebrate responsibly as we approach 2024 by using the platform X.

It wrote, “New Year’s Eve par ‘Mast Mein Rehne Ka’ lekin ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’. Agar ‘Animal’ bankar ‘Bawaal’ ya ‘Non Stop Dhamaal’ machaaya toh kahi aisa na ho ki 2024 ka pehla din…’Indian Police Force’ ke saath manana pade.

The witty play on Bollywood movie titles served as a humorous yet poignant reminder to avoid chaos during the celebrations.

The post also read, “SAM BAHADURi isi mein hai ki safety ko BHAGWAN BHAROSE mat rakho.. after all, aap bhi KISI KA BHAI, KISI KI JAAN ho!”

In the meantime, an extensive police presence has been established across the city to uphold the status quo of law and order. On Sunday night, special pickets will be erected to maintain a watchful eye and inspect cars, especially those driven by intoxicated individuals. Over 10,000 police officers have been stationed throughout the city in two shifts, according to a senior police official.
