3 More People Die During Kedarnath Dham Yatra, 37 Killed So Far

Mumbai: Three more people have died of heart attacks during the Kedarnath Dham Yatra, Rudraprayag District Administration confirmed on Wednesday.

Rudraprayag district administration said on Wednesday that three more people have died due to heart attacks.

So far, 57 pilgrims have lost their lives in Uttarakhand since the pilgrimage began on May 3 this year. Officials gave this information on Sunday.

The Char Dham Yatra began with the inauguration of Gangotri and Yamunotri portals for devotees on May 3 on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. While the doors of Badrinath were opened on 8 May.

According to the Uttarakhand government, 8,000 pilgrims will be allowed daily in Gangotri, 16,000 in Badrinath, 13,000 in Kedarnath and 5,000 in Yamunotri.

Notably, Gangotri, along with Yamunotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath, are the four most revered Hindu pilgrimages in the Himalayas.
