3,29,056 More Vaccinated Against COVID-19 In Maharashtra

Mumbai: An official of the state health department said that Maharashtra has vaccinated 3,29,056 people against COVID-19, a cumulative figure of 1,05,71,680.

The state on Monday vaccinated 6,938 health professionals, 18,854 frontline workers, 1,88,553 people and peers aged 45-59 and 1,14,711 seniors (3,29,056 in total).

With this, 12,78,391 healthcare workers and 15,58,299 frontline workers have received vaccine supplements.

He said, the state has vaccinated 33,83,427 people in the age group of 45-59, and 43,51,563 seniors so far.

Nationwide vaccination against COVID-19 began on January 16 with healthcare professionals and was later expanded to other priority groups.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra has reported 60,212 fresh coronavirus positive cases on Tuesday, taking the tally to 35, 19,208 while 281 fatalities pushed the toll to 58,526. Maharashtra is now left with 5,93,042 active cases.
