4th Wave Of COVID-19 In Delhi Less Severe, No Plan For Lockdown: CM Kejriwal

Mumbai: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday confirmed that the state government has no plans to put a lockout in the city in view of the increasing cases of COVID-19.

He added that the Delhi govt in Delhi is heavily focusing on vaccination against the virus.

During a press conference after meeting Delhi Health Minister and other officials, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal confirmed that COVID-19 cases in the national capital have been rising again in the last few days.

“There have been 3,583 new cases in Delhi in the last 24 hours. This increase in cases is now the fourth wave. We are taking all possible measures, there is no need to worry,” he said.

Kejriwal further said that the Delhi government is focusing on COVID-19 vaccination and inoculated nearly 71,000 people yesterday alone.
