Bail Plea Rejected By CBI For Accused Sushen Gupta

Mumbai: on Saturday the Central Bureau of Investigation CBI dismissed a plea of arms dealer and Sushen Mohan Gupta who is alleged in link with AgustaWestland money laundering case.

On April 6 Gupta has filed an application for a bail plea. On 15th April after hearing the case the court Ordered and bail application for today.

“Gupta cannot destroy the evidence although he tried his best”, Enforcement Directorate(ED) has told special Court of CBI earlier.

ED’s special public prosecutors, DP Singh and Naveen Kumar had accused Gupta during the hearing for “influencing” Rajeev Saxena to turn “approver” by the court in case.

The counsels said,” Gupta went to Dubai to abstain, when one of the witness wanted to be an approver. When there was a buzz on the diary, he started calling him”.

Earlier, the ED had said that in the form of a pendrive, 2 diaries were recovered from Saxena, which belonged to Gupta.

ED confronting Gupta’s bail said on the statement given by Gupta in 2016 that he did not have any information about Interstellar technology.

ED added saying, “Post it came to know that Gupta was the one who instructed on transfer of the funds.

Although, Gupta’s counsels, Advocate Siddharth Aggarwal and PV Kapoor argued that on the request he joined the investigation.

On March 26 Gupta was detained and was kept in Tihar jail. Till April 20 he was sent to judicial custody on 8th April.

Gupta admitted in his plea that he has violated the law and has always co-operated with Investigation agencies and worked on all the directions given by them.
