Fuel Rates Hit Record Highs, Petrol Nears ₹104 per Litre In Mumbai
Rates have been increased across the country and vary from state to state based on the incidence of Value Added Tax
Mumbai: Petrol and diesel prices hit record highs on Wednesday after rates were hiked for the 29th time since May 4.
Petrol prices in Mumbai hit a new high of Rs 103.89 per litre on Thursday and were hiked by 26 paise per litre, while the price of diesel went up to Rs 95.79 per litre.
Petrol price in New Delhi has now increased by 26 paise to Rs 97.50 per litre and diesel price has increased by 7 paise to Rs 88.30 per litre today. Petrol was available at Rs 97.50 per litre and diesel at Rs 88.23 per litre in the national capital on Wednesday.
The price of petrol and diesel in Chennai was Rs 98.88 and Rs 92.89 per litre respectively, while the price of petrol and diesel in Kolkata was Rs 97.63 and Rs 91.15 per litre respectively.
Rates have been increased across the country and vary from state to state based on the incidence of Value Added Tax.
Fuel prices are increasing continuously across the country and have crossed Rs 100 in many states.
