Drug Case: Sam D’souza’s Anticipatory Bail Rejected By Bombay High Court

Sam D’souza approached Bombay High Court for anticipatory bail fearing his arrest by SIT formed to probe extortion allegations

Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Friday rejected the anticipatory bail application of Sam D’Souza, who allegedly acted as a middleman between Shah Rukh Khan’s manager Pooja Dadlani and KP Gosavi in an alleged Rs 18 crore deal to help Aryan Khan in connection with the Mumbai drugs-on-cruise case.

Prabhakar Sail, an independent NCB witness in the cruise drug case, claimed it was Sam D’Souza who allegedly connected KP Gosavi with Shah Rukh Khan’s manager Pooja Dadlani following an alleged money deal to get Aryan Khan released after his arrest by NCB in Cordelia cruise ship drug bust case.

The alleged middlemen, approached Bombay High Court for anticipatory bail fearing his arrest by SIT formed to probe extortion allegations against NCB officers including Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede and others.

D’Souza’s legal team said that they are yet to decide the next legal course of action but might appear before the SIT on Saturday.

D’Souza claimed KP Gosavi, another independent witness in the case was paid Rs 50 lakh money for allegedly helping Aryan Khan but he said he made Gosavi return the money. KP Gosavi is currently under Pune police custody in connection with a cheating case in 2018.

Now, Sam D’Souza has been claiming that it was only KP Gosavi who planned this entire extortion operation to get money and NCB officers were not part of it.

D’Souza is said to be underground after the whole controversy broke out. NCB Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede had denied reports that he was part of any deal involving KP Gosavi.

Sam D’Souza allegedly claimed he was the one who arranged a meeting between Dadlani and Gosavi on October 3 to “strike a deal”.

Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan got bail from Bombay High Court on October 28 after 25 days of staying in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail.
