AAP’s Unit In Himachal Pradesh is Finished: Anurag Thakur

Mumbai: Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Saturday said that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has no base in Himachal Pradesh.

Thakur, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and MP from Hamirpur, was in Himachal Pradesh’s Una to participate in the celebrations of completing four years of Parliament Mobile Health (SMS) service.

Talking to reporters after the program, Thakur was asked about the visit of AAP leaders to Himachal Pradesh ahead of the state assembly elections. On this, the Union Minister said, “He has no base here, his unit is over.”

Notably, the AAP dissolved the Himachal Pradesh Working Committee on Monday after a few more leaders, including state women’s wing chief Mamta Thakur, joined the BJP.

Last Friday, AAP joined Delhi in the presence of Himachal Pradesh President Anoop Kesari, General Secretary (Organisation) Satish Thakur and Una district chief Iqbal Singh, BJP President JP Nadda and Thakur.

Subsequently, Thakur took a jibe at the AAP, saying it would be difficult for party chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to save his party’s organization in Himachal Pradesh.
