Actor Amit Mistry Passes Away After Suffering Major Cardiac Arrest

Mumbai: Gujarati and Hindi film actor Amit Mistry died on Friday morning after suffering a major cardiac arrest, his manager Maharshi Desai said.

“He was at his house in Andheri, Mumbai with his parents and passed away on the spot, before they could get any help,” he added.

Mistry was recently seen in the web series ‘Bandish Bandits’.

The actor, who was seen in the romantic drama web series on Amazon Prime Video, Bandish Bandits, playing Devendra Rathod, the protagonist’s uncle, had done films like Kya Kehna, Ek Chalis Ki Last Local, 99, Shor In The City, Yamla Pagla Deewana, Bey Yaar and A Gentleman as well.

The Indian Film TV Producers Council shared the news on Twitter, writing, “Shocking and Deeply Saddening news of one of the talented actor Amit Mistry passing away…Heartfelt condolence to family and friends…RIP.”

Amit Mistry’s television shows included Tenali Rama, where he played Birbal, Star Plus show Ssshhh…Koi Hai, Sab TV’s Maddam Sir and Sahara One’s Shubh Mangal Savadhan among others.
