After Ram Temple In Ayodhya, Looks Like Kashi & Mathura Waking Up Too: UP CM

Mumbai: The temple town of Kashi appears to be waking up, as are Mathura, Vrindavan, Vindhyavasini Dham and Naimish Dham, after the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, UP CM Yogi Adityanath said.

There has been no communal riot in the state, he told the one-day state executive meeting of the BJP in Lucknow and referring to the recent festivals, said that for the first time in the state last Friday there was no street namaz.

Referring to the inauguration of the Kashi Vishwanath temple corridor, Adityanath said that one lakh devotees visit Kashi every day and the place is proving the importance of its name in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.

“Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti passed off peacefully. This was the first time that the last Friday prayers before Eid were not held on the streets. There are places of worship for Namaz, mosques where their religious programs can be held,” he said.

Referring to the removal of loudspeakers from religious places, he said, “You must have seen how one gets rid of unnecessary noise.

In the BJP’s first state executive meeting after the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, he asked party workers to start preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and go ahead with a target of winning 75 out of 80 seats in the state.

In 2019, the BJP had won 62 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh while its ally Apna Dal (S) registered victory in two seats.
