Allahabad HC Ordered To Arrest Sonakshi Sinha In Cheating Case
Mumbai: In a shocking incident, Allahabad High Court has ordered to arrest Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha in connection with a criminal case registered in Moradabad for allegedly cheating the organizer of an incident.
The actress and four others were booked in the case last month.
According to police, on November 24, 2018, an event organizer Pramod Sharma had alleged that he had paid Rs 24 lakh to a company to invite Sinha for an award distribution function in Delhi and the actress confirmed her presence.
The complainant said that he paid a total of Rs 37 lakhs, which involves a large amount of money was transferred to Sinha.
While disposing of a writ petition filed by Sinha, a bench on Friday chaired by Justice Nahid Ara Mooney and Justice Virendra Kumar Srivastava said that she will not be arrested till submission of the report by police after completion of an investigation into the matter.
However, the court ordered Sinha to cooperate with the police in the investigation and asked to assist in the investigation.
“It is clarified that the petitioner will not be subjected to any embarrassment or harassment during the intervention period,” HC said.
However, it dismissed the petition of the actress as saying that in order to dismiss the FIR against her, “with the counter notification of FIR, the first cognizable offences are committed at this level against the petitioner. Therefore, we have no concrete reason for Shows. ” FIR ”
Whereas, Sinha’s management agency had previously denied the allegation against her, saying that despite repeated reminders, the organizer failed to make the payment before the contract was signed.
