Mumbai: Aam Aadmi Party MLA Naresh Balyan from Uttam Nagar, Delhi has been detained by Income Tax Department of Delhi. IT has seized Rs 2.56 crore cash at MLA’s premises.
The Tax department is cross-questioning the MLA Balyan, a property dealer and other 2 detainees about the money.
The officials said that they had gone for their ‘Routine survey’ to the real estate office. The procedure of survey restricts visiting only the offices and not the residence.
At the Dwarka office, MLA was found with few other people on the spot, as the cash amount was of over Rs 2 crore.they cut off from the Tax team, and arrested while they were leaving from the premises.
AAP’s Saurabh Bhardwaj stated the Income Tax action as ‘Political Raids’.
