Amitabh Bacchan Donates ₹50 Lakhs For Senior Citizen’s Welfare After Getting Inspired From An NGO’s Works
Pune : An NGO powered by Ravi Kalra which works for the well being of senior citizens was rewarded by a donation from Senior Bacchan for their noble work.
A Gurgaon based NGO received a promised donation of ₹50 lakh from Amitabh Bachchan in the name of The Earth Saviours Foundation. It is a non profit foundation situated in a Bandhwari village of Gurgaon district of Haryana. Founder of the NGO, Ravi Kalra met Bachchan on the seat of KBC with Kapil Sharma in the Karamveer episode. Both participated and won ₹25 lakhs on spot. After listening about the foundation, Amitabh par hugely inspired and promised to share his contribution looking at the efforts. Amitabh kept his promise and sent a donation of ₹50 lakh to him on 20th November.
Kalra also received an attested letter from the legend which read, “It was a most moving experience for me and indeed all present during the KBC Karmveer programme that you honoured us with, some days back. Hearing you narrate your stories, was a most horrifying moment for all.
As committed during the programme I am attaching herewith my contribution towards the noble cause that you undertake for the deprived. May you continue to bring succor and happiness in the lives of the abandoned. Shall be grateful for your acknowledgement”.
The funding will be used in the welfare of the old people living in the NGO and also for their plan of building a hospital in their village. We all shall salute such personalities and appreciate their works.
