Congress Considers Its Leaders Above Law: BJP’s Sambit Patra

Mumbai: BJP leader Sambit Patra on Tuesday said that the Congress considers its leaders above the law. His remarks came after Congress workers protested in support of Rahul Gandhi who was summoned by the ED in the National Herald money laundering case.

Gandhi was questioned by the ED for the second consecutive day on Tuesday in the National Herald money laundering case. Several Congress leaders took to the streets on Monday and were taken into custody by the Delhi Police for violating prohibitory orders.

Terming the protests a drama, BJP’s national spokesperson Sambit Patra said, “When legal action is being taken in a corruption case, Congress is doing this drama and blocking roads. This shows that the party considers its leaders above the law.

He also described the Gandhi family as “obnoxious” and said a “sense of entitlement reeks from the first family of the Congress party”.

Congress, he added, is frustrated as the law is taking its course.
