Curfew Imposed In Jammu After Pulwama Attack

Mumbai: After an horrible incident occured yestered in Jammu and Kashmir, curfew has been imposed in city by the officials. Due to the terror attack around 40 CRPF Jawans has be killed.

According to PTI News Agency report the army has been requested to help the administration in maintaining law and order and flag march.

The protesters, especially in the old city, refused to spread even after the announcement of curfew imposed was made in loundspekaers.

“We have imposed curfew in Jammu city as a precautionary measure,” Deputy Commissioner of Jammu Ramesh Kumar told PTI.

According to officials, Jammu was completely closed in the city and there was no traffic on the roads and all the shops and markets were closed.

In the city of Jammu, stones were largely caused by anti-Pakistan demonstrations, where people protested on the streets in dozens of places including Jewelery Chowk, Old Mundi, Rehari, Shakn Dang, Jhaipur, Gandhinagar and Bakshinagar.

According to media reports, skirmishes took place in Gujjar Nagar area, where some vehicles were damaged due to stone pelting. However, the police got involved in the action and prevented a major clash.

Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association J & K President BS Slathia said to PTI that, “The suspension of the work by the Association is to express our solidarity and sympathy for the honor of the CRPF jawans killed in the Pulwama attack and the bereaved families.”

Anti-Pakistan, anti-terrorism slogans, protesters burn tires on many roads Agitators, most of the youth, are barricaded on the streets demanding revenge.
