Mumbai: In an effort to bring the country together in the fight against COVID-19, actor Bhumi Pednekar on Thursday launched an anti-spitting campaign aimed at educating the people.
Posting a video of herself on Instagram, Pednekar launched a spit-free India campaign and urged others to join it.
“We have to defeat coronaviruses and all join hands. Quit the habit of spitting. We must save the country! Currently, our country is in danger of corona, and spitting also spreads deadly disease!” she said.
She added, “The way we are all involved with the toilet campaign and have pledged to make the country clean! In the same way, resolve to make the country independent by spitting here and there.”
“Do your job, don’t spit. Let’s come together and join the free India movement of spit,” she said.
“I have joined the Spit Free India Movement for a healthier & cleaner India. You should too…@pleg4life #spitfreeindia #pledgeforlife #covid19,” she wrote in the caption.
