Filmmaker Raj Kaushal, Mandira Bedi’s Husband, Passes Away Due To Heart Attack At 49

Mumbai: Filmmaker Raj Kaushal, actress Mandira Bedi’s husband, died aged 49 on Wednesday. Raj suffered a heart attack at around 4.30 am at his home and died before the family could get any medical help, actor Rohit Roy said.

He shared a happy photo with Raj and penned a long moving note. A part of his note read, “Raj, my friend, my brother… keep spreading the cheer where ever your next abode is… Knowing your penchant for good homes, I am sure you are looking for a good spot in heaven RIGHT NOW! We all loved you dearly and you know that … unfortunately, we kept saying next week next week and that week never came. See you on the other side my bro….Till we raise hell again, REST IN PEACE.”

Several celebrities have paid their condolences to the late star’s family. Filmmaker Onir on Wednesday morning tweeted, “Gone too soon. We lost filmmaker and producer Raj Kaushal this morning. Very Sad.”

Actor Kubbra Sait took to Twitter and expressed grief after learning about the filmmaker’s demise.

“It’s a sad day. Your optimism and love with linger Raj,” she wrote.

Raj directed films like ‘Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi’ and ‘Anthony Kaun Hai’. He had started his own advertising production company in 1998. He is survived by wife Mandira, son Veer and daughter Tara.
