Fourth Batch Of 53 Indians Arrive In India from Iran: S Jaishankar

Mumbai: In a recent development, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that the fourth batch of 53 Indians has arrived in India from Tehran and Shiraz in Iran.

“The fourth batch of 53 Indians – 52 students and a teacher – has arrived from Tehran and Shiraz, #Iran. With this, a total of 389 Indians have returned to India from Iran. Thank the efforts of the team @India_in_Iran and Iranian authorities,” Jaishankar tweeted.

234 Indians, who were among those stranded in Iran, have arrived in India due to an outbreak of norovirus, Jaishankar said in the wake of Sunday.

According to Al Jazeera, Iran is one of the worst coronavirus-affected countries, killing 724 people. The fatal infection cases are close to 14,000.
