Free Treatment, 16,000 Pind clinics: Kejriwal Makes 6 Health Promises In Punjab

The AAP supremo informed that if his party can deliver the promises made to Delhi, it can do the same for the people of Punjab

Mumbai: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said the Aam Aadmi Party will not only provide free electricity up to 300 units in Punjab but has also got a mega plan to revamp the health infrastructure in the state.

Addressing a press conference in the poll-bound state, Kejriwal stressed his ‘upgraded’ plan for Punjab if AAP comes to power and listed out ‘6 guarantees’ for the state

The 6 guarantees with regard to the healthcare in Punjab which the AAP convenor has announced are:

  1. Free healthcare facilities for all citizens of Punjab
  2. Free treatment, medicines, operations for everyone. The AAP government will ensure medicines are always available.
  3. Health Card for all citizens, which will have all the historical data of the patient.
  4. Pind Clinic and ward clinic in 16,000 places across the state, replicating the Mohalla Clinic model of Delhi.
  5. Complete revamp of all government hospitals in Punjab, with assurances of new ones.
  6. All road accident victims to get free treatment across Punjab

The AAP supremo informed that if his party can deliver the promises made to Delhi, it can do the same for the people of Punjab who have become collateral damage to the political rivalries within the state.

Furthermore, Kejriwal also promised that if the Aam Aadmi Party comes to power in Punjab, the new government will also open press clubs in every city, beyond the existing Jalandhar, Amritsar and Chandigarh ones.

“I have said again and again that when the time comes, we will give you a good CM face, it could be anyone. We are not thinking about it right now,” Kejriwal said in Ludhiana.

When asked if Navjot Singh Sidhu would return to Aam Aadmi Party, he brushed it aside by calling it “a hypothetical question”.

“Punjab had formed the Congress government with great hopes. But today they’ve made a mockery of the government. A dirty fight for power is going on. All their leaders want to become CM. There’s so much infighting that the government has disappeared,” the Delhi CM said.

The next Assembly elections in the state are scheduled in February or March 2022.
