Govt Wants All Farmers Get MSP Benefit: UP CM

Mumbai: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Wednesday that his government intends that all farmers should get the benefit of MSP, for which instructions have been issued to ensure the proper functioning of paddy procurement centres in the state.

According to a press release, the Chief Minister directed that the produce of the farmers should be purchased without any delay and if necessary, additional arrangements should be made for the same.

The CM stressed that his government’s intention is to ensure that farmers get all the benefits of MSP, the release said.

The Chief Minister, who was reviewing the works of various departments, said that the state government is committed to the betterment of the rural economy through dairies, for which more dugdh samitis should be set up and villagers are connected with dairy programmes by forming self-help groups.

He asked the chief veterinary authorities to regularly monitor cow shelter homes.

At the upcoming Magh Mela in Allahabad, he said that all necessary arrangements should be made keeping in mind the quality of various works.

He directed to make necessary arrangements for proper sanitation and hygiene in the Magh Mela area besides making necessary arrangements for compliance with COVID-19 protocol.
