Have To Save Farmers At H’yana Borders From COVID-19: H’yana Min

Mumbai: Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij said on Friday that his “concern” was about protecting protesting farmers from coronavirus at the state’s borders.

Vij participated in a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the COVID-19 situation on Thursday evening.

The minister said, “We will work on the guidelines given by the Prime Minister. But my concern is to protect the farmers from the coronavirus, who have gathered on the border of Haryana. I have to protect them from COVID-19.”

Vij also said that soon he would write a letter to the Minister of Agriculture to resume the dialogue between the farmers and the government.

Vij said, “I am going to write a letter to the Union Agriculture Minister if the dialogue between the farmers and the government can resume and the assembly can be removed from here.”

“I believe all the problems can be solved by negotiation,” he added.

PM Modi said on Thursday that a challenging situation is re-emerging due to COVID-19 and urged the states to speed up the test. Presiding over the meeting with the Chief Ministers on the COVID-19 situation in the country, he said that several states including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Punjab have crossed the peak of the first wave in terms of COVID-19 cases and this is serious.
