Health Of Poor Improved Up to 70 pc Due To Ujjwala, Swachha Bharat: Amit Shah

Mumbai: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that according to a study by an NGO, the health of poor people has increased up to 70 per cent due to the Ujjwala scheme and the mission to provide toilets in each house.
Praising the scheme he said that it is an example of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision about poor people as he has also experienced poverty in childhood.

The Home Minister also distributed token aids to various beneficiaries during the dedication cum foundation stone laying ceremony in the capital of Gujarat,” the release said.

Shah laid the foundation stone for various development projects in his Lok Sabha constituency Gandhinagar. In the morning, he laid the foundation stone of the humiliated and controlling centre of the Gandhinagar metropolitan municipality in Sector 11.

The Union Home Minister also inaugurated a bridge at 10 am and laid the foundation stone of an office for Kalol APMC.

Speaking on the Centre’s Ayushman Bharat scheme, he said: “Every citizen of his constituency will get the facility within the 10 km limit.”

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Mr Nitinbhai Patel were accompanied by Minister of State for Home Pradeepsinh Jadeja, State Revenue Minister Kaushikbhai Patel, Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation Mayor Jitaben Patel and other dignitaries.
