If Need Arises We Will Extend Lockdown In MP: Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Mumbai: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Tuesday that a decision will be taken regarding the 21-day lockout in the state, which will be taken based on the current situation in the coming days.

“People’s life is more important, again the economy can be built, but if people die, how will we bring them back? That’s why, if there is a need, we extend the lockdown, a decision will be taken based on the situation,” Chouhan said.

He said, “The situation in Bhopal, Indore is worrisome and we need to be careful. Saving the lives of the people is of utmost importance,” he added.

On Tuesday, 12 new cases of coronavirus were reported from Bhopal, including health workers and policemen. The state health department said that the regional total number of COVID-19 patients has now reached 74.
