Increase Fuel Price In One Go: Mallikarjun Kharge To Centre On Price Hike

Mumbai: Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge took a jibe at the Centre over increasing fuel prices across the country.

The Congress leader told ANI, “They are increasing the prices by 80 paise, sometimes one rupee. Rs.

After the resounding victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in four states in the recently concluded assembly elections, Kharge blamed that party for doing whatever it likes. Condemning inflation, he said, “After winning elections in four states, they feel that whatever they do, it will work. There was no change in the prices of petrol and diesel across the country on Thursday. Fuel prices have been hiked in India for the first time in four months. Petrol and diesel prices were hiked for two consecutive days on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The prices of diesel and petrol have been increased by 80 paise. It was in November when the country last saw an increase in fuel prices. The price of one litre of petrol in Delhi will now be Rs 96.21 and diesel will be Rs 87.47 per litre.

The Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) on Thursday increased the rate of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) by Rs 1 per kilogram. IGL has also increased the price of domestic piped natural gas (PNG) by Rs 1 per standard cubic meter (SCM) effective from Thursday.
