J&K, Ladakh To Get Equitable Benefits: Union minister

Mumbai: Since the abolition of article 370 and 35A the Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh was declared to become the Union territory and Kashmir to become the part of India. Earlier Kashmir only led India to get into there security and economy part and the rules and regulation were apart from the country and even flag of the Kashmir was unconventional.

The Union territory is nothing but the type of administrative division in the Republic of India. Unlike the states of India, which have their own governments, union territories are usually federal territories governed directly by the central Government of India.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh said on Saturday that two new union territories, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh which will come into existence next week, will get equal benefits in all sections and areas of society without any bias.

He said over the last seven decades, a constant grievance across the state was that certain regions and sections of people were feeling discriminated against.

While Jammu always complained about the lion’s share going to the Kashmir valley, Ladakh too felt neglected, the minister said.

“As a Union Territory, Jammu and Kashmir will get equitable benefits after October 31, cutting across all sections of the society and regions, regardless of any extraneous considerations. The same would also apply to the Union Territory of Ladakh,” he said during a conference.

“The needless interference in the maintenance of law and order and the role of the vested interests would also gradually recede,” he said.

This decision was not only for Kashmir to get into India but also for the people living in Kashmir. This very important to change the mindset of Kashmiris that they belong to India and they are the part of it. Terrorist misleading things also can be decreased due to this.

He also said that ” Benefits in terms of a new breakthrough in higher education, professional colleges, industry and self-livelihood opportunities were going to gradually unfold with the passage of time and their ultimate magnitude was perhaps too difficult to imagine right now.”

At the social level, women’s will get all rights and end the medieval legacy with the introduction of progressive laws such as those banning triple talaq, child marriage and dowry, in addition to the right to parental property, which already stood restored after the abrogation of Article 370.

As far India had achieved many things as a Nation and will achieve more than this in future. Every small step is taking the nation to become ‘Developing’ to ‘Developed’ nation.
