Kanika Kapoor To Be Questioned Over FIR By Lucknow Police After Lockdown

Mumbai: Singer Kanika Kapoor, who suffered 14 days of self-isolation after testing negative for coronovirus, will soon be questioned by the Lucknow police.

A Bombay Times report has revealed that the police are about to interrogate Kanika as soon as the lockdown ends. An FIR was lodged against the popular playback singer citing negligence on his part while working with COVID-19 and putting others at risk.

An FIR was filed by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), U.P. for negligence.

A senior police officer was quoted in the daily as saying, “Once the lockout is over, we will interrogate Kanika Kapoor. This routine is part of the practice once the FIR is registered. It is within three months Will be done.

Kanika Kapoor was discharged from the hospital on Monday after a negative test on Saturday. The singer revealed her diagnosis on March 20 in an Instagram post mentioning how she was dealing with a health crisis one day at a time.

While staying inside the hospital, Kanika spoke to some media houses on a call and revealed how she was positive about her recovery. She also addressed rumours of her tantrum at the hospital. The Baby Doll singer refuted all speculation and mentioned that she was not showing stellar behaviour and was, in fact, collaborating with staff and doctors to recover as quickly as possible.

Kanika was the first Bollywood celebrity to have contracted the virus. After Kanika, producer Karim Morani and her daughters Zoa Morani and Shaza Morani were also tested positive for the coronavirus. While Shaza has now been tested negative, Karim and Zoa continue to be treated for the disease.
