Karan Johar, Dharma Productions Extend Support To COVID-19 Relief Initiatives

Mumbai: Filmmaker Karan Johar and Dharma Productions on Saturday extended a helping hand and pledged support in various initiatives to support the fight against coronovirus pandemic.

The 47-year-old filmmaker took to Instagram and shared a statement saying, “In the last one month India has united in this decision to stay home and safe to overcome this epidemic. But there is so much more to do in order to win the fight against this dreaded disease.”

Johar spoke about the daily wage earners and technicians, and said, “With the lockdown being extended, it’s only going to be tough for everyone, especially for the workers and technicians who live daily for their livelihood.”

Wages dependent. They are in such a situation. They don’t have clarity on where their next meal is coming from … and it can be scary … very scary. ”

“They are in this situation through no fault of their own, and we believe it’s our moral responsibility to help them as much as we possibly can,” he added.
