Humanity Will Overcome COVID-19 Says Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Twitter on Saturday that humanity would overcome the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the world is fighting it together.
“The world is fighting COVID-19 together. Humanity will surely overcome this pandemic,” Modi wrote on Twitter while retweeting a tweet by the Indian Embassy in Switzerland.
His tweet read, “Indian Tricolor of more than 1000 meters in size projected on Matterhorn Mountain, Zermatt, Switzerland to express Solidarity to all Indians in the fight against COVID 19. A big Thank You to @zermatt_tourism for the gesture.”

India is currently under a COVID-19 lockdown to deal with the rapidly spreading epidemic. The lockdown was first imposed for a period of 21 days and was scheduled to be lifted on 14 April.
However, as the number of cases increased across the nation, the Prime Minister announced an extension of the 19-day lockdown. Now it is going to end on 3 May.
