Hijab versus saffron protests intensified in Karnataka on Tuesday and minor incidents of violence were also reported from some parts of the state.

In the Mandya incident, boys who raised slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ made the girl wear saffron shawls.

A viral video of the incident shows the girl responding by shouting ‘Allah-u-Akbar’ and then leaving. She can also be heard defending her right to wear the hijab.
