‘Kashmir Is Not Heaven, Its’s Hell’: Relative of Demised School Teacher In Srinagar

Two school teachers, including the principal and teacher Deepak Chand were shot dead by militants at a government school

Mumbai: Jammu Kashmir is usually referred to be the Heaven on Earth, but on Thursday relative of school teacher Deepak Chand who was shot dead by terrorists today in Srinagar has called Jammu Kashmir ‘Hell’.

In a ghastly terrorist attack on Thursday, two school teachers, including the principal and other teachers identified as Deepak Chand were shot dead by militants, who entered a government school premises in Srinagar on Thursday.  Also Read: 2 Teachers Shot Dead By Militants In Srinagar, 2 Days After 3 Others Killed

“We are still receiving calls. Kashmir is not heaven, it’s hell. We’re are being targeted for the last 30 years,” the relative said.

Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. Top police officials including the DGP Dilbag Singh had reached the school to review the security situation.

“These recent incidents of targeting civilians are to create an atmosphere of fear, communal disharmony here. This is a conspiracy to target the local ethos & values & defame local Kashmiri Muslims. This is being done on instructions from agencies in Pak,” said J&K DGP Dilbag Singh.
