Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal Get Death Threats, Mumbai Police Begin Probe

Mumbai: Actors Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal have received threats to their lives from an unidentified person on social media, reported ANI on Monday.

Mumbai Police also informed that a case has been registered against the unidentified person and an investigation has been initiated.

Katrina and Vicky were recently in the Maldives for their birthday and were sharing pictures from the holidays. What the threats said is not known but a case has been registered at Santacruz police station, tweeted ANI.

It added, “Case registered at Santacruz PS on the complaint of Vicky Kaushal u/s 506(2),354(D) IPC r/w sec 67 IT Act. He complained that one person has been threatening and posting threat messages on Instagram. He stated that the accused has also been stalking his wife&threatening her: Mumbai Police

Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar had also received death threats through a letter, following which the Mumbai Police registered a non-cognizable offence against an unidentified person and launched an investigation into the matter.

Recently, actor Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan also received threats in the form of letters. It mentions that the father-son duo will face the same fate as that of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala who was killed in May. The security of Salman and his family was beefed up after the incident.

As per the investigators, the Bishnoi gang wanted to extort money from Bollywood personalities. Salman on Friday met newly-appointed Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar at the latter’s office in South Mumbai. According to police sources, the actor has applied for a weapon license.
