Kejriwal’s Dreams To Progress In Other States Will Be Crushed: Union Minister

Mumbai: Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal will be taught such a lesson in Gujarat that his dreams to progress in other states of the country will be “crushed”.

His remarks came a day after Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited Gujarat for the assembly elections in the state later this year. Also Read: People Of Gujarat Are Frustrated, Waiting For Honest Party: AAP Gujarat Chief

“Kejriwal tried to win over the people in Gujarat even during the local body elections. The results of those elections are now in front of everyone. This time also in Gujarat, Kejriwal will be taught such a lesson that his ambition of progress in other states will be crushed,” said Shekhawat to ANI.

The minister accused Kejriwal of “buying” the media of Gujarat and wasting the money of the government and the public to get media space there.

“It is easy to prove oneself. But the people of Delhi should be asked what is their condition. The doctors of Delhi should be asked about their condition and the condition of Mohalla clinics. The public are slowly becoming aware of this ‘School of Kejriwal Thought’, which involves giving self-certifications, wasting money on media showing what is not even there and hiding ground reality from the public. It has been only a few days since he came to Punjab. He was involved in corruption even before coming to power in Punjab and misusing government-related funds for the swearing-in ceremony of the Chief Minister. Let’s wait for the results of Punjab. By the time of the Gujarat elections, their (AAP) Punjab government will be in its sixth month. At that time the certificate given by the people of Punjab will be important.”

The Gujarat Assembly elections are slated to be held this year.

AAP’s Gujarat hope has been fuelled by its performance in the February 2021 Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) polls in which BJP won 93 seats, while Aam Aadmi Party bagged 27 seats in the Surat Municipal Corporation election and Congress drew a blank.
