Kichcha Sudeepa’s ‘Vikrant Rona’ Crosses ₹100cr Worldwide After 1st Weekend

Mumbai: Kichcha Sudeepa-starrer Vikrant Rona’ is estimated to have collected over ₹110 crores worldwide within four days of its release. As per estimates from the industry, it earned approximately ₹29 crores on Sunday.

This marks the continued love for films from Kannada, Tamil and Telugu that audiences across the country and the world have been showing lately.

As per estimates by industry sources, Vikrant Rona raked in Rs 29 crore on the fourth day of its release on Sunday, which was an extended weekend for the film. With this, the film’s earnings exceed Rs 110 crore. This is far more than Ranbir Kapoor’s Shamshera which can manage ₹40 crores in the entire first week.

Vikrant Rona starring Sudeep, Nirup Bhandari and Neeta Ashok is presented by Zee Studios, produced by Jack Manjunath under his production Shalini Arts, co-produced by Alankar Pandian of Invenio Origins and starring Anup Bhandari.

It was released in five languages ​​including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. It hits theatres on July 28. With a budget of 95 crores, it is one of the most expensive Kannada films ever made.

In recent times, films like Telugu actor Pushpa – The Rise, RRR and KGF: Chapter 2 (Kannada) emerged as the biggest hits in the industry, while many Bollywood films failed to deliver. The Hindi film industry has so far only seen hits like Gangubai Kathiawadi, The Kashmir Files, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Juggjug Jeeyo.
