Lockdown To Be Imposed In Goa From 7 pm On April 29 Till May 3 Morning

Mumbai: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today announced that lockdown will be imposed in the state from 7 pm on April 29 till May 3 morning.

The CM said that only essential services and industrial activities would be allowed to operate during the lockdown. Will not ply during the period of public transport.

“The lockdown was announced in the state on April 29 from 7 am to May 3. Essential services and industrial activities are allowed, public transport will remain closed,” said CM Sawant.

According to him, casinos, hotels and pubs would remain closed during the lockdown while the boundaries would be open for necessary service transport.

The announcement came a day after reports of 2,110 new COVID-19 cases with 31 fatal attacks in Goa.

The state now has a total of 81,908 coronavirus cases, while the death toll is 1,086.

This recovery has increased to 64,231 and the coastal state has a total of 16,591 active cases.

Goa has conducted 6,32,131 COVID-19 tests so far.

According to PTI, Goa’s COVID-19 figures are as follows: positive cases 81,908, new cases 2,110, death toll 1086, discharge 64,231, active cases 16,591, samples so far 6,32,131 tested.
