Lotus Will Bloom Again: Anurag Thakur After Defeat In By-Polls Of Himachal Pradesh

The Congress sprung a surprise victory in Himachal Pradesh, by retaining Fatehpur and Arki and posted a win in Jubbal-Kotkhai

Mumbai: Union Minister and Himachal MP Anurag Thakur has ensured that the ‘Lotus’ will once again bloom in the state in next years assembly elections.

“Himachal Pradesh BJP will call a timely meeting, discuss people’s mandate & look for reasons behind it. Learning from it, steps will be taken to make necessary improvements so that lotus blooms once again in 2022,” Anurag Thakur said.

Anurag’s comment come after the by-polls results were declared yesterday. The Congress sprung a surprise victory in Himachal Pradesh, by retaining Fatehpur and Arki and posted a win in Jubbal-Kotkhai.

Reacting to this defeat in the state, Anurag said that results are different in every state.

“It’s too early to say anything. Results came in different states of the country. BJP won all 5 seats in Assam, we won in MP, won 1 out of 2 seats in Karnataka. Every state has its own local issues for by-polls, every political party brainstorms over it. We’ll do too,” Thakur added.

On October 30, by-polls for three Lok Sabha constituencies, 30 Assembly seats took place.

The BJP-led alliance swept by-polls on all five seats in Assam and 2 seats in Madhya Pradesh. The Trinamool Congress (TMC) won by-polls in all four assembly seats in West Bengal.

Out of the 30 Assembly seats, the BJP had won in around half a dozen constituencies earlier, the Congress had nine, while the rest were with the regional parties.
