Mumbai: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Sunday night tweeted that the state is now coronavirus free as the two patients have “fully recovered and have tested negative”

“I am glad to share that Manipur is now Corona free. Both patients have fully recovered and have tested negative. There are no fresh cases of the virus in the state. This has been possible because of cooperation of public &medical staff and strict enforcement of lockdown,” Singh tweeted.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Monday that the total number of coronavirus cases in India has reached 17,265, with 1,553 more COVID-19 cases.

Of the total cases, 14,175 cases are active, while according to the ministry, 2,547 people have been cured/discharged and 543 deaths have occurred.
