Mumbai: ‘Mardaani 2’ starring Rani Mukerji which hit theatres on December 13, has received a decent opening in its box office minting Rs 3.80 crore in its first day.
According to film critic Taran Adarsh, the film goes from strength to strength on day 1. On the second day, after witnessing a lukewarm take off in the morning, the movie is witnessing big turnaround with a stronger occupancy in the evening and night shows.

In the flick ‘Mardaani 2’, Rani Nirbhay and committed Superintendent of Police, Shivani is reprising the role of Shivaji Roy. The seat-of-the-thriller will see the Queen in a race against time to catch a brutal serial rapist who targets women. He gave a knock-out performance in the super hit and highly acclaimed prequel ‘Mardaani’, in which he acted as the leader of a child trafficking racket.
