David Warner Becomes 12th Australian To Score 7,000 Runs In Test Cricket

Mumbai: Adding another feather to his cap, Australian opener David Warner achieved a huge milestone in Test cricket as he became the 12th Aussie cricketer to score 7000 runs in the longest format of the game.

Warner reached milestones in 151 innings which helped him reach Levelmark as the 5th fastest Australian player with Greg Chappell Lasse. This record is held by Warner’s teammate and former captain Steve Smith, who scored 7000 runs in Test cricket in 126 innings.

The southpaw reached the milestone on Day 3 of the first Test against New Zealand at Perth.

For India batsman, Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar had reached the milestone in their 134th and 136th innings respectively.
