Mehbooba Mufti Protests Against Ban By Government On Jamaat-e-Islami

Mumbai: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, President of People Democratic Party, Mehbooba Mufti launched a protest in Anantnag and objected against the ban by Government on Jamaat-e-Islami.

This action came after the Pulwama terror attack. Reports appear that JI was politically in front of Pakistan based terror organization Jaish-e-Muhammad who was responsible for 14th Feb Pulwama terror attack that killed 40 CRPF soldiers.

Jamaat-e-Islami group has, however, has contradicted allegation on them.

‘We will go to district level now, then will go to every bench. The ban must be withdrawn. Senior people who are been detained must be freed’. President Mehboob said to Media.

An organization who is unlawful, its activities have been destroying morality and unity of the India’, stating this the Government announces a week before to ban JI Jammu and Kashmir.

A police officer said Dozen of machinery and properties were sealed. Further, three elderly leaders of JI are arrested. Whole long day protest was carried by the workers of Jannat-e-Islami on districts of Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, Poonch, Rajouri, and Jammu districts. PTI reported, from Kishtwar district, Mohammad Majeed Sheikh, Mohammad Iqbal Naik, and Ghulam Qadir Bhat were arrested. Another JI leader Ghulam Nabi Gundana was put under house arrest. While Two other activists of the organization were released after cross-questioning for which they were detained in Doda.

The report says, In the year 1945, JI was formed. Later in 1953, its outfit separated due to political as well as moral differences. In 1990, it was banned but after a few years in 1995, its ban expired and then was never implore again.
