Mumbai: Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film ‘Mission Mangal’ has been the talk of the town for its subject and the stellar cast. The multi starrer is all set to hit the screens this Independence Day. Ahead of its release, the team has started with the promotional leg of the film.
The film narrates the tale of India’s first successful Mars mission ‘Mangalyaan’. Helmed by Jagan Shakti, ‘Mission Mangal’ is touted as India’s first space film, which follows scientists at Indian Space Research Organisation who contributed to the Mars Orbiter Mission. The film will hit the screens on August 15, 2019.
Sonakshi Sinha tweeted, “Kickstarting promotions for #MissionMangal today!!! 15th August… here we come!!!”
Although the stars have been seen out on many occasions regarding the film, their official promotions have started today.

The film will clash with John Abraham’s ‘Batla House’. The thriller drama is inspired by the real Batla House encounter that took place almost a decade ago on September 19, 2008, which is officially known as Operation Batla House.
