King Khan To Be Felicitated At The Indian Film Festival Of Melbourne
Mumbai: Shahrukh Khan aka SRK is known by everyone, in India and abroad. He is referred to as the ‘Badshah Of Bollywood’. He has appeared in more than 80 films and has had several nominations. He is the recipient of 14 Filmfare awards.
SRK will be felicitated with the Excellence in Cinema Award by Linda Dessau, Victoria’s 29th governor. He will be receiving this at the 10th edition of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne on August 8. He is also the chief guest at the festival.
“I’m humbled and honoured for this recognition. It will be a great experience to share the stage and the podium with my fellow industry members who are all coming from various parts of India to celebrate cinema in Melbourne. I look forward to meeting her excellency, Linda Dessau, at the wonderful evening that has been planned by IFFM,” said Shah Rukh.
On the work front, SRK was last seen along with son Aryan as voiceover artists for King Mufasa and son Simba in The Lion King’s Hindi version. The film released in India on July 19 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Shah Rukh Khan may be seen in Sajid Nadiadwala’s next action masala entertainer. Their collaboration has been on the cards and now, it’s mostly happening. Sajid has offered LOL Land OF Lungi to Shah Rukh Khan. It’s a masala actioner that’s a remake of Ajith starrer Veeram.
