Mumbai Man Jumps In Front Of Train With Son Over Joblessness; Child Dies
Mumbai: A Mumbai-based 32-year-old man reportedly tried to kill himself along with his three-year-old son by jumping in front of a train on Sunday. However, he survived the jump, but his son died.
The man was a resident of Nala Sopara in Maharashtra’s Mumbai and he is currently admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Further investigation revealed that the survivor, identified as Vaghela, was unemployed for a long time and had frequent arguments with his wife over the same issue.
Also, Vaghela’s wife was living in Gujarat as she was unemployed. According to the report published by Hindustan Times, the man was depressed and decided to end his life along with his only child.
Describing the horrific incident, a GRP official said that Vasai Traffic Control was alerted about the loco pilot’s suicide attempt after the loco pilot informed him.
For further investigation, the victim’s body has been sent for further medical examination and now the mother of the deceased child has been informed about the incident and is on her way to identify the body of the girl child.
