Mumbai Police Recovers Rs. 1.6 Lakhs Fake Notes After Busting Printing Factory In Pydhonie

Mumbai: The Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) of Mumbai Police busted an Indian banknote printing factory operating in the Pydhonie area of Mumbai on Wednesday.

The Police arrested a 47-year-old man who was identified as Shabbir Hasan Qureshi.

The Mumbai Police informed that they recovered 53 fake notes of Rs 2,000 denomination having a face value of 1.06 lakh from the factory.

Apart from the money, a computer printer and other material required to produce fake notes have been recovered from Shabbir’s house, added the police.

“The accused was printing notes at his own house, he has been printing these notes for the past several days and has distributed them in different markets of Mumbai,” said police.

The arrested accused is at the Pydhonie Police Station and Shabbir will be presented in the court today.

Further investigation is underway.
