No Evidence That Sacrilege Was Done At Kapurthala Gurudwara: Punjab CM Channi

Mumbai: After a man was lynched for allegedly attempting sacrilege at a gurudwara in Kapurthala, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Friday said, “No evidence that sacrilege was done in Kapurthala.

“In Kapurthala (killing of a man for alleged sacrilege), no evidence that sacrilege was done. The matter being probed… FIR to be amended,” Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

On 19 December, in Nizampur in Punjab’s Kapurthala district, an unidentified man was allegedly lynched by locals for disrespecting the ‘Nishan Sahib’ at a Gurdwara village.
