No Political Violence In Bengal It’s BJP Gimmick: CM Mamata Banerjee

“We condemn violence. Political violence is a BJP gimmick. They should have gone to UP where the dead bodies are floating,” the CM said.

“Unfortunately, the Centre can’t control Twitter; that’s why they want to bulldoze them. Similarly, they can’t control me; that is why they are trying to bulldoze my government. They should stop this,” she said.

West Bengal has been witnessing political violence for almost six weeks, since May 2, when the results of Assembly elections were declared. The BJP has blamed the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) for the deaths of its workers. CM Mamata Banerjee has, on the other hand, blamed BJP’s internal divide for the incidents.
