PM Gives Guidance To World But Is Silent On Violence In Andhra: Raut

Mumbai: Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi gives guidance to the world but is silent on occasions like violence in Andhra Pradesh over the renaming of Konaseema district after Dr Ambedkar.

In his weekly column ‘Rokhthok’ published in party mouthpiece ‘Saamana’, Raut took a jibe at PM Modi, saying he is silent on issues like ‘world ke pracharak’.

Speaking about the violence that took place in Andhra Pradesh’s Konaseema district in the name of Dr Ambedkar, Raut acknowledged that the issue of renaming cities is under the Centre’s jurisdiction.

The Shiv Sena leader said the nation was built on the contribution of Dr Ambedkar and expressed grief over the opposition to naming a district after him.

Raut wrote, “It is even more surprising that Prime Minister Modi, who guides the world, remains silent on such occasions.”

Raut highlighted that “the Center is not taking any decision on renaming Aurangabad in Maharashtra to Sambhajinagar,” Raut asked if “the Center wants to incite riots in the area”.

“The demand to change the name of Aurangabad is old. The Center is not taking any decision on it. Or they want to make political gains by inciting riots in Sambhajinagar?” He asked.

“Modi is leading the country with the most number of unemployed people and surprisingly, he participates in events on the world stage. Leaders of major countries gathered in Japan for a quad meet. His photographs leading the world leaders were published, but what about being the leader of the world’s most unemployed?” Raut further wrote in his article.

“Our Prime Minister Modi is at the forefront of the crowd of world leaders, and we are proud of it, but the number of unemployed is increasing in the country. There is restlessness in Punjab and Kashmir and politics is taking the country in a different direction,” the Sena leader further added.

Speaking on the overall COVID-19 situation, Modi said that India has become not a problem, but a solution-giver. “We have sent medicines and vaccines to countries across the world,” Modi said.

“We made vaccines for our citizens. About 200 crore vaccine doses have been given in the country.
