Speaking to the media, Gehlot said, “Violence broke out in some states on Ram Navami. We talk about Maryada Purushottam Ram and violence is erupting on his birth anniversary. “The nation wants to listen to the PM say that violence will not be tolerated at any cost. In the absence of such a statement, violence is breaking out at places,” he added.

Ram Navami celebrations began in parts of the country in Jharkhand’s Lohardaga, leaving one person dead and 12 injured, while a curfew was imposed after stone-pelting and arson in Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone town, where over 80 People have been arrested.

Reacting to the violence, Ashok Gehlot said, “As part of the conspiracy, efforts are being made to make people forget the sacrifices of leaders for freedom. The atmosphere being created in the nation is not appropriate. Love, brotherhood and harmony among everyone is important. Only then can nation progress.”
