Salman Khan, Paresh Rawal Shocked To See Low Footfall At Polling Station

Mumbai: Maharashtra Assembly Election took place yesterday for 288 Constituencies in the state.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra recorded the lowest percentage of voting this year that is only 56% of people cast their vote here.

Commenting on this, Bollywood actor Salman Khan said that, “I think voting is our right and it’s very disheartening to see that only 30percent of youth has come out and voted.

While Paresh Rawal said, “I think people are too lazy and are not interested to step out for a vote. And as the percentage is very low, as compared to the Lok Sabha elections.

I had some local issues in my mind before I cast my vote. Traffic, water clogging are certain issues that are very important,” he said while discussing some issues.

Voting for 288 constituencies in Maharashtra commenced at 7 am on Monday and will continue till 6 pm.

The counting will be held on Thursday, October 24. In Mumbai,  9,894 polling stations have been set up at 1,537 locations, 36 out of 288 seats come in the city of Mumbai. The city has registered 97.72 lakh voters.

In the 288, members assembly  BJP is contesting on 164, while Shiv Sena has fielded 126 candidates. Congress has candidates 147 and NCP contesting 121 seats.
