SC Verdict In Rafale Victory Of Truth, Recognition Of Modi Govt’s Honest Decision-Making Process: BJP

Mumbai: Welcoming the supreme court decision over Rafale Aircraft decision to dismiss the review petitions in Rafale case and sought apology from Congress and Rahul Gandhi Bhartiya Janata Party said that the verdict is the victory of truth, India’s security and recognition of honest decision-making process of the Modi government.

Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters that, “Today’s decision of the Supreme court rejecting the review of the Rafale decision is the victory of truth, India’s security and recognition of honest decision-making process of Modi government. Satyadev Jayate. Congress and Rahul Gandhi must apologise to the nation.”

He said, “Rahul Gandhi has to apologize. You lost in the Supreme Court in the first round, then the people defeated you in the election. Today, the Supreme Court rejected the review petitions of those who were a proxy on your behalf, “he said.

Prasad also attacked Gandhi for calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a ‘thief’ and underlined that the Supreme Court had accepted his apology.

He said, “Rahul Gandhi said that the Supreme Court had said that PM Modi is a thief. There is nothing bigger than this and it was proved in the Supreme Court today. The verdict of the apex court was unanimous today.”

The Union Minister said, “The Supreme Court accepted his apology and asked Gandhi to be more careful. It has time and again said that there is no doubt in the qualities of the Rafale fighter jet.”

Taking a pinch on Gandhi, the Union Minister said: “On April 29, 2018, he said that Rafale cost 700 crores. In July 2018, it cost Rs 520 crores. On August 10, 2018, he tagged it. 540 Crores. It was again changed to Rs. 520 crores on August 11. You can see how the cost has gone up in their rallies. At one place, he also said that the cost was Rs. 570! ”

“The entire campaign of malice is immersed in deeply suspicious circumstances. Congress has a history of taking sub-contracts into a defence contract,” he said.

Earlier in the day, the Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed the review petitions challenging its decision in the Rafale case passed on December 14, 2018, upholding the 36 Rafale jet deal.

A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and KM Joseph passed the order on a batch of petitions reviewing the judgment of December 14, 2018, in which the purchase of 36 Rafale jets by Prime Minister Narendra Modi Was retained. – From the government of France.
